Refund & Cancellation Policy
1. General rule — digital goods are final
Once a digital Artwork, edition, file, or certificate has been delivered or made available to your account, the sale is final and non-refundable, except as set out in this Policy or where a refund is required by applicable law. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you are buying a digital item and that your right to cancel may be lost once delivery begins.
2. When we will consider a refund
We will review and, where appropriate at our reasonable discretion, refund or otherwise make things right in cases such as:
- Non-delivery — you were charged but the Artwork or certificate was never delivered and we cannot deliver it within a reasonable time;
- Duplicate or erroneous charge — you were charged more than once, or in the wrong amount, for the same item;
- Materially not as described — the Artwork is materially different from its listing in a way that is verifiable and not merely a matter of taste;
- Defective file — the delivered file is corrupted or unusable and cannot be re-delivered in working form;
- Unauthorized transaction — the purchase was made without authorization due to fraud or account compromise, subject to verification.
Refunds in these cases are typically issued to the original payment method. We may instead offer re-delivery, a replacement, or account credit where that reasonably resolves the issue.
3. What is not refundable
- Change of mind, buyer's remorse, or no longer wanting an item after delivery;
- Changes in the perceived or market value of an Artwork after purchase;
- Failure to read the listing, edition size, or item description before buying;
- Issues caused by your own device, software, or network.
4. Auctions
Bids placed in auctions are binding and irrevocable, and winning bids are not eligible for change-of-mind refunds. If you win an auction, you are obligated to complete payment. Refunds for auction purchases are limited to the circumstances in Section 2 (such as non-delivery or unauthorized transactions). We may void a bid or sale affected by technical error, manipulation, or fraud, in which case any amount charged will be refunded.
5. Subscriptions (Artists)
Paid Artist subscriptions are billed in advance for each monthly period of studio access. Fees already paid for the current period are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise. You can choose not to renew at any time, and not renewing simply ends access at the end of the paid period; it does not automatically remove your existing listings.
6. Marketplace sales by independent artists
For Artworks sold by independent Artists, the Artist is the seller of record. We facilitate payments and may help mediate disputes, but final responsibility for an Artwork rests with the Artist. Where we issue a refund for such a sale, the corresponding amount may be recovered from or withheld from the Artist's proceeds.
7. How to request a refund
Contact us within 14 days of the charge (or as soon as reasonably possible) at info@thebubbleart.com with your order reference, the email on your account, and a description of the issue (including screenshots where relevant). We aim to acknowledge requests within a few business days and to resolve them promptly. Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, though the time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
8. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we can usually resolve issues faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us, or for a validly delivered digital item, may result in suspension of your account pending review.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law. Where such law grants you greater rights than those described here, those rights apply.
